PricePilot Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-12
PricePilot ("the App") lists the sales running in a Shopify store, flags the ones with no end date, schedules new ones, and returns each product to its original price when its sale ends. This policy explains what data the App accesses, why, and how it is handled. PricePilot stores no personal data about your store's end customers.
1. Data the App accesses and stores
- Store identity and authentication: your myshopify domain and an offline access token (encrypted at rest), used to act on your store on your behalf.
- Store configuration: shop currency and timezone, used to schedule and format price changes correctly.
- Pricing data you manage: the products, variants, prices, compare-at prices and stock levels of the items on sale, plus the App's own records (price snapshots, the sales it tracks, price change logs, and a log of the actions taken in the App). This is business data, not personal data.
Access scopes requested: read_products, write_products, read_inventory. The App uses the Shopify Admin GraphQL API only.
2. How the data is used
Solely to operate the features you configure: list the sales running in your store, show what a change will do before you confirm it, apply the sales you schedule, and restore the original prices when a sale ends or when you end it yourself. The App never modifies a price without first storing a snapshot of the original values, and it never overwrites a price you changed by hand outside the App.
3. Sharing
We do not sell or rent your data. Data is processed only by infrastructure providers that host the App (server, database, queue) under appropriate confidentiality terms, and by Shopify itself through its APIs.
4. GDPR / data requests
The App implements Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks:
- customers/data_request and customers/redact: the App stores no end-customer personal data, so there is nothing to return or erase. These requests are acknowledged accordingly.
- shop/redact (sent by Shopify after uninstall): the App deletes the store's session and access token. Price business data (snapshots, rules, logs) may be retained for the App's integrity and audit purposes; contact us to request its deletion.
5. Retention
Authentication and configuration data are kept while the App is installed. On uninstall, the access token and session are removed. Pricing business data may be retained as described above and can be deleted on request.
6. Security
All traffic is served over HTTPS (TLS). Access tokens are encrypted at rest. Price snapshots are immutable, so the original prices can always be restored.
7. Contact
